Job Title: Mid-Level ISSO
Location: Remote
Clearance Required: Public Trust

The contractor shall provide support as principal advisors on security controls (NIST SP 800-53 rev5) to the information system owner and the Information Security System Manager (ISSM) on all matters (technical and otherwise) involving the security of 4 Major general support system (GSS) and one major application information systems within ISC. Contractor responsibility may include, but is not limited to, physical security, personnel security, incident handling, and security awareness and training. The Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) may be called upon to assist in the development of the system security policy and to ensure compliance with the policy on a routine basis. In close coordination with the information system owner, the ISSO often plays an active role in developing and updating the Security Plan as well as managing and controlling changes to the system and assessing the security impact of those changes. The ISSO also coordinates with external agencies and assists in the preparation of the Information Systems Assessment (ISA) to ensure all external connections meet protection requirements and are documented in the Security Plan, Risk Assessment, and security operating procedures.

Required Experience:

• 2-4 years’ experience
• Implementing security controls
• Support RMF processes including continuous monitoring
• Experience in supporting A&A
• Building A&A Packages in support of ATO Efforts

Desired Experience:

• Public Trust or above a plus
• CISSP, CISA or CRISC a plus
