  • Ensure that Calibration Technicians will identify and utilize appropriate manual and automated measurement procedures to accurately calibrate test equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to Calibration Technicians whose role is to test, calibrate, maintain, and repair test and measurement equipment used by engineering, quality, and operations teams.
  • Maintains ISO compliance as well as established best practices and measurement guidelines set in place.
  • Provide front-end support of the asset tracking database MET/TEAM, monitor data integrity, and take appropriate corrective actions as needed.
  • Responsible for revising, maintaining, and generating new assets using MET/TEAM database.
  • Interacts with Operations, Engineering, and other business functions requiring calibration and asset tracking support as necessary. These interactions occur during quality audits, customer visits, purchasing activities.
  • Beyond the leadership and operational responsibilities of the Calibration team, this individual will apply job skills and company policies and procedures to complete a wide range of tasks and complete complex work assignments as needed.
  • Applying sound judgment in resolving problems and making business recommendations.
  • Documentation of calibration records, leading laboratory housekeeping, and overseeing relevant administrative duties.
  • Designs and develops measurement processes, methods, and procedures for calibration of inspection measurement and test equipment.
  • Performs Measurement Systems Analysis to ensure traceability and analysis of accuracy and precision requirements.
  • Familiarity with ISO17025-2015, ANSI Z540.1, and ANSI Z540.3
  • Experience with the use and maintenance of MET/TEAM, MET/CAL, and TIPQA databases.
  • Understanding of the general calibration process and have an appreciation of the value and criticality that calibration and asset tracking provide to the business.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of measurement units for length, mass, and electrical measurement (i.e., amps, volts, hertz, etc.).
  • Familiarity with electronic test equipment (i.e., ohmmeter, voltmeter, oscilloscope, etc.).

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree with 5 years directly related experience, 3 years with Masters

Note: Experience in lieu of degree will be considered

Preferred experience:

  • High School; Technical assessments a plus
  • 15 years' experience in Metrology, Aerospace Mfg background preferred.
  • Software skills in Excel, Powerpoint, Word, Teams, Costpoint, TipQA, MET/TEAM. SQL a plus.
  • Background in Metrology (ISO17025-2015, ANSI Z540.1, and ANSI Z540.3)
  • Strong understanding of AS9100/ISO9000 Quality Systems, Root Cause/Corrective Action methodologies, and Risk assessment


Salary Range: $87,900 USD - $131,900 USD


Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
