The Merchandiser will assist in the receiving, stocking, pricing of all merchandise and help maintain a clean and orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness.

• Submit weekly orders to Ace & other vendors for in store product/garden center.
• Submit items for credit to Ace & other vendors as necessary while managing paperwork.
• Check in product from shipments & manages paperwork for the processes.
• Unload delivery trucks (use of forklift is sometimes required).
• Stock shelves inside store & ensure products are displayed correctly.
• Collaborate with vendors.
• Monitor stock movement i.e work no sell reports & move product that isn't selling, promote new products, etc.
• Ensure the store is neat, orderly, and customer ready.
• Assist with receiving product in the system when needed.
• Assist with pricing product & ensure correct price is displayed on the shelves.
• Assist customers on the floor as needed.
• Assist counter sales when necessary.

Experience, Education and Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Acenet preferred but not required.
• Must be well organized.
• Must show the ability to stay on task,
• Must have a welcoming and outgoing personality.
• Must be a self-starter and motivated to independently complete tasks.
• Must be confident enough in your abilities that you are able to voice your opinions freely on what you believe needs to be done.
• Hardware/Home Improvement setting experience is desired but not required.

Skills / Competencies:

• Solid math and reading skills.
• Mechanical abilities.
• Ability to successfully pass a drug and alcohol test.

Physical Demands and Environmental Conditions

• Ability to stand for an extended period, walk, reach, and bend to perform job duties
• Move and handle merchandise up to 40 pounds, and fixtures throughout the store, which entails lifting and perform all functions as set forth.
