North Star Behavioral Health is one of Alaska’s premier mental health facilities offering hope and healing for children, teens and adults who struggle with psychiatric or substance abuse issues. We also offer military-specific care to first responders, service members, veterans and dependents at the Chris Kyle Patriots Hospital.

As a Mental Health Specialist you will work in a team dedicated to the compassionate treatment of children, adolescents, and teenager that are experiencing significant behavioral challenges. Our Mental Health Specialists work with nursing and clinical staff to assist in maintaining schedules, getting patients to classes, activities, therapy, recreation, and meals. We are seeking people that can actively engage with our patients, monitoring their behavior, provide coaching, prompts, redirection, and when needed de-escalating behavior as it surfaces.

• Must be 21 years old
• Be able to obtain a valid State of Alaska Background Check
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen
