Membership and Bookstore Coordinator Job at National Speleological Society
This position is primarily our membership and bookstore coordinator which includes operation of our membership software and our bookstore sales and inventory. This position is the primary point of contact for our membership. Additional work responsibilities include typical office tasks including answering the phones, going to the post office and going to the bank. Additional tasks include our annual bookstore inventory and assistance with packing and unpacking membership and bookstore items for off-site events. Our current membership and bookstore coordinator is retiring and will help train her replacement. Our office currently has 2 full-time employees. We have a full-time facilities manager and rent out indoor and outdoor event space. Some tasks may include assisting the facilities manager with prospective renters and other tasks associated with our facility.
The NSS is a non-profit organization dedicated to the exploration, study, and conservation of caves. Our current membership is about 8000. Our headquarters is located in Huntsville, AL.
