Overview of the Position:

Under the direct supervision of clinical pharmacists, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring medication quality metrics are met across major payors. The incumbent will also aid in tracking and calibrating digital data loggers across HopeHealth facilities. The incumbent must work with patients, pharmacy staff, and clinic staff to ensure the highest medication quality metrics while adhering to the state and federal rules and regulations.

Education and Experience:

  • Licensed Certified pharmacy technician, in good standing, in the state of South Carolina preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in retail pharmacy preferred
  • 1-2 years of experience in clinical practice setting preferred

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel and general computer skills
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks system preferred
  • Ambitious and confident change-agent; challenging conventional thinking, approach and methodology, strong advocacy, and organizational navigation skills
  • Experience with problem-solving and detailed oriented

Essential Job Functions:

  • Own process for improving medication adherence across HopeHealth for major payors
  • Monitor progress toward quality metric goals and propose processes to improve quality metric scores
  • Support clinical pharmacist by making necessary outreach to patients to pursue clinical quality projects that are identified by the organization
  • Assist with clerical tasks of the clinical pharmacist's office
  • Assist Director of Vaccines with DDL calibrations and monitoring
  • Collaborate with other pharmacy team members to work on special projects that may be identified

Physical Requirements:

Hearing: Adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone. Speaking: Must be

able to communicate clearly to patients in person and over the telephone. Vision: Visual acuity

adequately to perform job duties, including reading information from printed sources and

computer screens. Other: Requires occasional lifting and carrying items weighing up to 10

pounds unassisted in normal daily activities and up to 30 lbs. for other required work

activities. Additionally, requires frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements

(especially if keyboarding and writing), standing, walking, squatting, and sitting, with some

lifting, pushing and pulling exerted regularly throughout a regular work shift.
