Medical Technologist, Part Time
PART-TIME MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST, LABORATORY SUPERVISOR ROLE
Technologist with Chemistry Category Certification and licensed in Tennessee, needed at Cairn Diagnostics, Brentwood TN. Hours are very flexible, no weekends. Can work daily or just several half-days per week. Cairn is a specialty esoteric laboratory with a single primary assay. Cairn holds CLIA certification and is independently licensed in Tennessee, New York, California, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, and Maryland.
Required Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Chemistry or Biological Science
Tennessee Medical Laboratory Professional License
Certified by an accredited agency
Responsibilities
· Supervise clinical laboratory operations
· Perform responsibilities delegated by the Clinical Laboratory Director
· Perform and analyze proficiency testing (hCG Serum pregnancy and GEBT tests)
· Perform competency assessments of all testing personnel and report test results
· Participate in a proficiency testing program
· Review of intermediate test results or worksheets, quality control records, proficiency test results, and preventative maintenance records
· Monitor the recording and reporting of test results
· Perform observation of instrument maintenance and functionality
· Review and resolve clinical deviations
Report business and quality KPIs to Top Managment at defined intervals
