The MR Technician is required to work as a team member along side the MR Coordinator making sure all medical record paper charts are properly maintained, pulled and refiled correctly. Handling of daily correspondence and faxing paperwork as needed. This position is also responsible for all audit requests made by all insurance companies and processing them timely and accurately including all medical records requests. Tasks include daily triage of medical charts, back up coverage for electronic transcription notes, maintenance of offsite charts and cataloging them for storage and box preparation.

Experience of 2-5 years working in a medical records department or business office of a doctor, hospital or clinic required. Good communication skills and organizational skills are required. This position requires clear penmanship, computer skills and scheduling knowledge helpful. Salary negotiable based upon experience.

The hours of the job are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursdays as needed 8am -5pm with a half hour lunch total 25.5 hours. Extra hours available depending on workflow.
