McFarland Clinic is currently accepting application for Receptionist/Patient Registration Rep/Prior Authorization Specialist for its West Ames Physical Therapy & Rehab office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients.

Responsibilities include: Maintaining a current data bank for workers' compensation contacts, coordinates and facilitates office visit documentation being sent to designated company contacts. Central scheduling is made up of staff that answer phones for incoming referral sources and roll over from other clinics when needed. This staff also assists the clinics with insurance verification and authorization work that is completed from the back line. Sometimes this staff may cover desk when needed. Education

  • High School Diploma, GED or HiSET.

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM

Experience

  • Prefer one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
  • Completion of Medical Terminology class required within one year of employment.
  • Keyboard and computer experience.
  • Receptionist experience preferred, but not required.
  • Proficient use of standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copies, printers, etc.
