Medical Office Scheduling and Insurance Specialist Job at The Lung and Sleep Center of North Texas
Pulmonary and sleep medical practice looking for an individual who is organized, detail oriented,
and resourceful. This new team member will schedule and check-in patients, answer telephones,
obtain/verify patient insurance/benefits, manage incoming referrals and faxes, contact patients for medical information, support billing team, etc. Primary location is 7505 Glenview Drive in North Richland Hills; some to and from Fort Worth and Alliance offices needed.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Answer multiple phone lines and field utilizing electronic medical record
- Register and schedule patients
- Obtain and verify insurance benefits
- Obtain pre-authorizations & manage incoming referrals from other physicians
- Greet/Check-in patients & collect co-pay and deductible
- Work insurance and patient A/R
- Maintain waiting room
- Pull & file patient charts as needed

Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong computer skills
- References who can attest to work ethic & dependability
- Customer service experience
Preferred:
- Ability to cross-train with back office
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to work M-Th 8:30-5pm, F 8:30-1pm
Benefits: PTO, Medical
Compensation: Starting from +$13.50 or DOE
