Mattax Neu Prater Eye Center has been meeting specialized eye care needs of the Ozarks for over 20 years. Our Springfield location needs a Front Desk Team Member. We are seeking a professional, enthusiastic and energetic individual who is organized and has a positive attitude and a desire to help individuals with their health care needs.
This position requires basic clerical tasks such as greeting patients with a professional, respectful and caring attitude while checking in/checking out, scheduling, confirming appointments, verifying benefits and collecting payments. Previous experience in the healthcare and medical field required including knowledge of medical insurance.
This position is full-time, Monday – Friday, no evenings or weekends required and offers a competitive hourly wage.
Job Duties Include:
- Welcome and greet all patients and visitors
- Register new patients
- Update existing patient demographics
- Verify insurance eligibility through electronic resources
- Collect patients out of pocket liability (co-pays, co-insurance & deductibles)
- Protect patient confidentiality
- Responsible for keeping the reception area clean and organized

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.50 - $19.87 per hour
