Medical Biller (Billing Specialist I) Job at Great Lakes Psychology Group
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver prompt, accurate client account and billing-related customer service, clarification and resolution through multiple software applications (phone, email, chat) and technology platforms to provide front line support to clients.
- Follow all procedures for complete and accurate billing of patients and insurances and adherence to HIPAA standards.
- Ensure proper posting of insurance and patient payments, verify accuracy of coding and charge entry, process and file claims, review remittance advice and adjustments, research rejections and denials, settle insurance and patient AR
- Resolve discrepancies and disputes by gathering, verifying, and providing additional information and corrective steps.
- Use discovery, critical thinking, and problem-solving processes to troubleshoot issues and generate solutions.
- Advocate for clients’ issues, inquiries, concerns, needs, and suggestions while maintaining ownership of the case and follow through to completion.
- Thorough documentation of all client interactions within our contact center software platforms.
- Other Billing and Client Experience related duties as assigned.
