Overview:
Fairview Health Services is looking for Medical Assistant to join the Fairview Pediatrics Clinic in Burnsville! This position is approved for 52 hours every two weeks is benefit eligible, and we are offering a $4000 sign on bonus. The Burnsville Peds Clinic is a multidisciplinary location that has 10 different specialties working with kids ages infant to 21. This is a smaller team with a close relationship and the MA 's at this site will do rooming and in-basket/phone work with patients/families. The schedule for this position will likely be: Mondays, Tuesdays, every-other Wednesday, off on Thursdays, and rotating Fridays. The core hours for the clinic are 8:00 to 4:30 pm.
Responsibilities/Job Description:
As a member of the patients care team, a Medical Assistant supports quality patient- and family-centered care principles through performing a variety of high standard functions within a care team to support the needs of the healthcare team and patients/families. The Medical Assistant will capture information and detail the patient's visit. The MA is responsible for adhering to all policies, procedures and practice guidelines, promoting communication with all members of the team, maintaining complete, timely and accurate clinical documentation for each patient and continually looking for opportunities to improve processes and workflow.

Medical Assistants and M Health Fairview deliver care as delegated by the patients Physicians, or RN. They are able to prioritize work based on need, available resources, patient/family preferences, provider schedule, and work in collaboration with the physician/authorized practitioner as well as other health care team members. You may also perform high, and low risk, technical procedures during your daily work which could include: medication administration, assistance with CPR, assistance with procedures which may include lab draws

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program or LPN
  • Basic Life Support Certification

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ambulatory Care Experience
  • AAMA Certification
