We’re looking for team members who are ready to contribute their skills and expertise to improve our rapidly growing system.

This role works under the direction of a licensed healthcare professional and performs various clinical and administrative tasks for the assigned area. The Medical Assistant is expected to carry out the mission, vision, and values of Phoenix Children’s Hospital. A continuous exhibition of professionalism, strong ethical conduct, and integrity must be carried out at all times. Interdepartmental collaboration, high standards of work performance, keeping a positive attitude, and adhering to the policies and procedures of Phoenix Children’s Hospital is essential. This position requires current and continuous certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) or American Medical Technologists (RMA) in the field of Medical Assisting or the ability to acquire within 90 days of hire.

Required Qualifications:

Certifications

  • Medical Assistant Certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) or American Medical Technologists (RMA) is required within 90 days of employment to remain in the position.
  • Current BLS certification for Health Care Professionals from the American Heart Association.

Education

  • Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by one of the following: CAAHEP, ABHES, or another school approved by the Department of Education. MA certification from the American Association of Medical Assistants or American Medical Technologists in lieu of graduation from an accredited course.
