Role:

We are seeking a dedicated MDS Coordinator - RN (Registered Nurse) to join our Westchester Village team with a starting pay $70,720+ per year! This position is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing (DON) with planning, coordinating and managing the nursing department. The MDS Coordinator - RN is responsible for completion of the MDS 3.0. and should have the ability to communicate effectively and advocate for resident centered/directed care to team members, families, physicians, allied health professionals and the at large community.

Responsibilities:

• The MDS Coordinator - RN (Registered Nurse) oversees the Care Plan initiation and Care Plan updating process.
• The MDS Coordinator - RN (Registered Nurse) assists in all phases of the delivery of nursing care for residents in the nursing facility.
• The MDS Coordinator - RN (Registered Nurse) assists with the infection control program.
• The MDS Coordinator - RN (Registered Nurse) assists with evaluating current residents and potential admissions to ensure facilities can provide appropriate level of care.
• The MDS Coordinator - RN (Registered Nurse) may assist with hiring and providing orientation/training and retention of a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out nursing programs and services.

Qualifications:

• Must be a Registered Nurse - RN from an accredited college, with current state license without encumbrance
• Responsible for maintaining professional licensure and CEU requirements.
• Current CPR certification required.
• 1- 2 years supervisory experience in a geriatric setting is preferred.
