Bridges Academy is a career-preparatory-focused learning environment for at-risk students who benefit from a smaller academic setting. Bridges Academy is a flexible learning model that provides significant attention to improving a students behavioral health. Students must pass the MCAS and fulfill academic requirements for graduation. Academic programming is designed to include an internship and work-based learning experience that prepares graduates for a successful post-secondary career.
Bridges Academy serves approximately 20-25 students. The staffing includes a guidance counselor, special education teacher, paraprofessional and two content teachers. This position is for one of the content teachers who is specialized in math and science instruction.This teaching position is for someone who is certified in math, science, and/or special education. The teacher is expected to be able to teach Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, General Science, and Biology.
The teacher will instruct students in a small learning environment.
