Are you looking to build a strong career? Then we have an opportunity for you! We currently have an opportunity for a Materials Manager located in our plant in Wheeling, IL.

Your Role:

The Materials Manager will work cross-functionally within the plant: Warehousing, Shipping/Receiving, Quality, Finance, etc., as well as with external functions: Procurement, Supply Planning, Commercialization, Sales/Marketing, other Plants supporting their Material Managers, teams, and Suppliers.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Create, run, and analyze a variety of reports to ensure material requirements are clearly understood and properly planned.
  • Run SAP, JDA, Excel and other reports and analyze them to determine short-term and long-term material needs.
  • Periodically review manufacturing master data to ensure data integrity, and work with Data Governance teams to make updates where necessary.
  • Capacity analysis to ensure short and long-range demand can be satisfied.
  • Exception Management: Identifying and resolving production and purchasing misalignment.
  • Analyze vendor open order and status reports and ensure dates and quantities are accurately reflected in the system.
  • Work with procurement to ensure purchase orders are processed in a timely manner.
  • Expedite, delay, cancel or make changes to material orders as required.
  • Analyze inventory reports to ensure adequate levels are maintained and take action to address SLOB materials.
  • Maintain, track various metrics and KPIs; and publish various Reports.
  • Host and lead meetings whenever necessary.
  • Lead projects as needed.

Ultimately, this position will be responsible leading the development, implementation, and documentation of new related processes.

We need you to have:

  • High School diploma or equivalent, required
  • 3-5 years of related experience
  • Prior experience working with SAP, JDA, MRP, and ordering processes
  • Strong analytical skills, be comfortable working with large amounts of data, and be an advanced MS Excel user, required

Icing on the cake:

  • BA/BS in Supply Chain, preferred
