POSITION PURPOSE

This position will be responsible for unloading product deliveries, maintaining stock in the warehouse, and moving stock and other materials to fulfill orders and successfully completing tasks with little or no guidance. Handles all donations with care to prevent breakage or damage through the use of proper packing techniques, materials and blankets


JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Work assigned schedule:
  • Conducts inspection of assigned equipment Daily.
  • Completes daily inspection report and submits to management team member
  • Maintains accurate records at all times and signs all necessary paperwork daily
  • Reports any damage or potential problem noticed with any equipment on the Daily Inspection.
  • Operates all equipment safely and responsibly at all times:
  • Practices safe loading and unloading to prevent movement, shifting load.
  • Always checks to ensure truck or trailer wheels are chocked.
  • Never deviates from scheduled duties.
  • Keeps work area and equipment clean
  • Does not have, use or consume food, drink, or tobacco products in work area.
  • Does not operate a personal cell phone or other personal electronic devices in work area.
  • Comprehends and complies with required emergency responses to hazardous material spills or incidents as required by the situation
  • Complies with CGWs safety rules and performs all duties in a safe manner:
  • Understands, complies with and enforces the Personal Protective Equipment Policy
  • Understands, complies with and enforces all policies and procedures related to safety
  • Complies with all Loss Prevention policies and procedures to include, Employee Purchase Policy, Bag Check Policy, Personal Property Policy, Theft Policy, etc.
  • Reports all accidents or damage to company vehicle or equipment immediately and to supervisor and completes all necessary incident reports.
  • Assists with the loading and unloading as needed at all locations serviced
  • Completes all required reporting in a timely manner.
  • Move freight and stock to and from loading docks, delivery vehicles, storage areas, and production areas either manually or using equipment such as hand trucks, pallet jacks, dollies or forklifts.
  • Follow written or oral instructions regarding daily tasks and job duties.
  • Stage products based on store orders; assist in filling customer orders.
  • Sort gaylords during loading or unloading process and mark gaylords with proper label.
  • Stage gaylords and bales in proper locations as defined by warehouse floor plan.
  • Document the numbers of units handled or moved each day using production sheets.
  • Utilize protective devicespadding, straps, etc.to prevent damage to items during transport.
  • Responsible for maintaining the proper flow of product to assigned stations as to not shutdown production in the warehouse or the outlet.
  • Responsible for wearing proper PPE at all times
  • Responsible for correcting leaning and spilled Gaylords
  • Regular attendance is an essential function of this position

May include other duties as assigned by management.

KEY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma preferred. GED accepted
  • Must be capable of working independently without constant supervision.
  • Planning and problem-solving skills
  • 2 years forklift experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Valid Driver License
  • Availability to work overtime hours preferred.
