Basin Material Handling (Easley, SC) is seeking a fork lift driver. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring the shipment of outgoing and receipt of incoming material, parts, or products. Facilitates and expedites the flow of materials to/from various departments by performing the following duties. Experience preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Transports material or racks to and from designated areas in the facility.
  • Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks.
  • Checking loads are secure.
  • Moving goods packed on pallets or on material carts around the facility.
  • Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventor control instructions.
  • Examining products to verify conformance to quality standards.
  • Dumping materials into machine scrap hoppers.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment.
  • Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines. (machine
    operator is to remove attachments and reattach when finished
    charging).
  • Operates, safely, material handling equipment. Ex. forklifts, pallet jacks.
  • Inventory and counting preferred.

Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited
to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and
scheduled work breaks; where applicable.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
