BASF‘s Coatings division is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings, surface treatment solutions and decorative paints.

Our Greenville site located in Ohio focuses on delivering the Future of Coatings offering chemical solutions for surfaces.

As a Material Handler for our Coatings Division, you will be responsible for both physical and virtual movements of inventory through the Warehouse including handling, loading/unloading, relocating materials, and performing housekeeping duties. You will work and be a part of a continuously developing team -oriented atmosphere. Soft skills such as a cooperative spirit and the motivation to assist other team members as workflow dictates are essential for the role.

During your time as a Material Handler you will…

  • Loading, unloading, and packing materials as well as staging materials to support production.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment such as forklifts and yard tractors.
  • Occasional lifting, bending, and twisting of various range and motion requiring physical exertion when handling materials, drums, or equipment.
  • Maintain assigned inspections and housekeeping duties.
  • Use Personal protective equipment (PPE) to perform hazardous materials duties related to spill response and cleanup activities. Occasional use of respiratory protection.
  • Utilize your computer skills to accomplish training opportunities.
  • This position works 12-hour straight day or night shift.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent


If you have…

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1 year of experience in the operation of powered industrial equipment, specifically, forklifts and yard tractors operation.
  • Ability to lift 55 lbs since it is a physically demanding job.

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive pay range for this role is $18 to $20 hourly. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
