Position: Material Handler- 2nd Shift ($2/hr Differential)
Reporting To: 2nd Shift Production Supervisor
Division: NPF
Location: Casselton, ND
Hours: 12:30 pm - 10:30 pm M-TH with OT on Fridays available
Outline of the role

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, performs duties related to receiving and shipping of material. Final verification of material and prepares the product to be shipped out to customers.

Key tasks and responsibilities

  • Takes the finished parts off the line and performs final inspection before packaging up.
  • Unpacks merchandise. Verifies the quality and quantity of items against supporting documents. Accepts or returns merchandise according to established procedures. Calculates prices according to guidelines. Affixes bar codes, prices, and security tags as necessary.
  • Completes different forms and prepares documents. Maintains files.
  • Ability to count parts and package them into the necessary boxes and pallets to prepare for shipping
  • Operate a forklift to move materials
  • Participates in taking inventory. Maintains storage area, organizes and places stock on shelves. Ensures area is secure at all times.
  • All other duties as assigned

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment can be loud at times. Environment is not fully climate controlled.
