POSITION: Marketing Team Member

REPORTS TO: Director of Sales and Revenue and the Reservations Manager

Purpose for the Position: As a Marketing Team Member, you will mainly be responsible for developing and executing social media strategies that increase brand awareness, engagement, and bookings across our hotel properties. Other responsibilities can include ad design, web design, and creating printed deliverables. We are looking for a flexible designer that can follow existing brand standards and offer new creative ideas to better reach our audience.

The Marketing Team Members Essential Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage social media content calendars for all hotel properties.
  • Develop and execute paid social media campaigns to drive bookings and revenue.
  • Monitor and respond to social media inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner.
  • Track and report on social media metrics, including engagement rates, follower growth, and bookings generated.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure consistency of messaging and branding across all channels.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and social media best practices.
  • Coordinates with General Managers to meet expectations for Limited Time Offer campaigns.
  • Follow best practices to create printed posters, business cards, and other forms.
  • Maintain websites to reflect current offerings.
  • Updating photography of hotel rooms and amenities.
  • Design Email campaigns.
  • Complete any additional duties assigned by management.

Physical Demands: Lifting 20 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs. Requires walking or standing to a significant degree, talking, hearing.

Environmental Conditions: Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered "inside" if the worker spends approximately 75% or more of the time inside.

Math Skills: Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to: Compute discount, interest, profit and loss, commission, markups and selling price.

Language Skills: Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to: Read newspapers, periodicals, journals, and manuals. Write business letters, summaries and reports using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style. Participate in discussions and debates. Speak extemporaneously on a variety of subjects.

Relationships to Data, People and Things:

Data: Coordinating: Determining time, place, and sequence of operations or action to be taken on the basis of analysis of data; executing determination and/or reporting on events.

People: Negotiating: Exchanging ideas, information, and opinions with others to formulate policies and programs and/or arrive jointly at decisions, conclusions, or solutions.

Things: Handling: Using body members, hand tools, and/or special devices to work, move, or carry objects or materials. Involves little or no latitude for judgment regarding attainment of standards or in selecting appropriate tools, objects, or materials.

Specific Requirements: At least 2 years of experience in social media management, preferably in the hospitality industry. Strong understanding of social media platforms and analytics tools. Excellent writing, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, with a focus on Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Photography and video editing is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
