HOURS/LOCATION:

This is a full-time, hybrid position based out of our New York City office. It is expected that some duties will be performed on-site at least 2 days a week and some remotely, with the understanding that government and public health guidelines will help determine the extent to which it is safe to carry out in-person and onsite activities.

All candidates must be within commutable distance of SEO’s offices at 55 Exchange Place, New York, NY 10005, upon hire.

POSITION OVERVIEW

SEO seeks a graphic design specialist with marketing experience to join our Marketing & Communications (MarComms) team. As a member of this highly collaborative and client-focused shared services function, you will contribute to translating the organization's 60 years of impact into imaginative visual narratives to attract and engage BIPOC and underrepresented pre-professionals seeking career opportunities in the corporate sector.

As the Marketing Manager, you'll manage the end-to-end creative portfolio for the SEO Career Program, including the conception, planning, and production of creative collateral for digital, email, presentation, and print. In lockstep with program leadership and managers, you will guide creative projects and assume responsibility for the overall quality and timely delivery of creative projects by routinely conceiving and designing collateral for social media and other digital platforms, along with printed materials to promote SEO programming, impact, values, and partnerships with the ultimate goal of increasing program participation and partner engagement. Moreover, under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications, you will act as the primary MarComms point of contact and project lead in launching pilot programming for SEO Career's Real Estate track.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Graphic Design (40%)

Create, design, and manage SEO materials to match brand, voice, and mission for social media assets, website, print, decks, email, advertisements, signage, brochures, invitations, and other media as appropriate.
Create guidelines, build templates, and train staff to ensure high-quality and consistent visuals across various media.
Maintain brand guidelines with a cohesive visual language, including a strong, relevant, and consistent brand ecosystem (logos, color palettes, typography, images, and content)
Manage vendors and other designers as required.
Facilitate client meetings and brainstorming sessions to work through multiple design iterations based on internal feedback.
Keep current on emerging technologies and trends to promote SEO's brand and visuals.

Marketing & Strategy (20%)

Act as the primary point-of-contact, project manager, and creative director of the SEO Career Real Estate and SEO Hire pilot programming.
Develop a deep understanding of SEO Career's history and impact to inform creative by engaging and building relationships with key stakeholders within the program, including leadership, program managers, and alums.
Use analytics to inform marketing strategies to engage participants in programs.
Provide content to the MarComms Social Media Coordinator to develop and execute social activations and campaigns for the SEO Career Real Estate track.

Project Planning & Execution (30%)

Manage timelines, deliverables, feedback, and overall execution of projects.
Provide a high-touch client experience through dedicated touch points and transparent communications.
Evaluate and adjust project plans to ensure strategies continually meet campaign objectives and client expectations.
Consistently produce multiple creative deliverables for the SEO Career team and support the MarComms team in prioritizing the overall creative and marketing needs of the organization.

Other Responsibilities & Admin (10%)

Provide tactical event planning and execution support to the SEO Career Real Estate team as requested.
Collaborate with MarComms colleagues to deliver quality marketing materials, including the testing, evaluation, and reporting of strategy-based data.
Research and collaborate with the growing MarComms team to extend reach into emerging platforms and new communication media.
Cultivate relationships with stakeholders throughout SEO to understand their vision and goals to translate into visuals that will impact results.
Maintain an all-hands mentality in the execution of other duties as assigned, supporting the Career team and the organization's broader mission, vision, and goals.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in graphic design or a related field.
3+ years of experience in marketing, communications and graphic design ,
Expertise in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat), Microsoft Office, Google applications, and appropriate other platforms. Familiarity with HTML and CSS is a plus.
Experience in brand development and management, including establishing brand hierarchies. Must have a strong understanding of brand and marketing best practices.
Ability to think strategically, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
Direct experience developing creative campaigns and project plans and leveraging project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Basecamp) desired.
Highly collaborative with the ability to work on a team and independently to deliver results.
Customer service orientation with client relationship management skills.
Direct experience with multicultural marketing and imagery is strongly preferred, but not required. Must possess a deep curiosity and interest in culture and a pulse on trends, events, platforms, and thought leaders within the space.
