Job Description

Oppenheimer's Operations team is seeking an experienced candidate that will support the daily functions of the Customer Credit department. The role requires someone who will be able to work in a fast paced environment, multitask, and communicate effectively. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and have a collaborative mindset to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

  • Work independently and cooperatively with other members of the Margin team to ensure Regulation T margin calculations are met in a timely fashion
  • Ensure client accounts are above regulatory minimums as stated within Reg-T and FINRA Rule 4210
  • Facilitate movements of securities and moneys in and out of the firm using proprietary firm systems.
  • Escalate violations and unresolved problems to Margin Management
  • Work with branches to resolve problems related to the firm’s retail client base
  • Comply with department policies, procedures and escalation procedures
  • Perform other functions and tasks assigned

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years Financial services or related business experience, preferred
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel)

Compensation:

For job postings in New York City, Oppenheimer is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. This salary range is specific to the City of New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making salary decisions including but not limited to your skills, qualifications, experience, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current base salary range is $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 at the time of this posting. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as discretionary bonus.
