6 month contract, openings on 2nd shift – 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM

This position requires is a 11 panel drug test and a federal felony background check – no references / education checks required.

Welder Responsibilities:

• Independently assemble, fit, and weld together metal components to spec using electric arc-welding equipment.
• Manually support and guide weld gun along weld lines
• Flat, horizontal, overhead, and vertical weld positions
• Manually groove or scarf surface with oxy-fuel cutting torch
• Maintain quality and safety standards
• Can perform precise setups alone
• Read and understand blueprints and geometric tolerancing
• Use precision gages correctly such as Micrometers Both inside and outside, dial calipers, indicators
• Can Make minor program changes such as altering T,H,D offsets in the program
• Knows CNC Machine Tooling and can set tooling on their own.
• Can make Tool offsets on your own"

Experience and Qualifications:

• Multi pass welding experience
• Flux core experience a plus
• Successful completion of administered welding test

Weld Test

• We use Miller machines and the process is flux core.
• Using .052 shielded wire (they use 1/16 wire occasionally).
• All of the metal is 1 inch mild steel.
• Multipass weld where you stack welds on top of each other (It's usually only 2-3 stacks)
• Weld around a corner.
• Vertical weld inside and out.
