Job Summary:

Under close supervision, following specific instructions, inspects, evaluates, and repairs power tools that have been identified as repairable. Ensuring that repairs are completed promptly and accurately while maintaining safety standards at all times.


Pay:
$17.50 per hour


Essential Job Duties:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to satisfactory standards. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.

  • Inspect and evaluate return power tools to determine if repairable or scrap.
  • Ability to complete repairs on power tools in a promptly fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to assist in managing parts inventory accurately. Assist in physical inventory.
  • Observes and practice proper safety procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.


Work Environment:

This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.


Travel:
No travel is expected for this position.


Education and/or Experience Desired:

  • High School Diploma / GED, or equivalent years of experience knowledge, skills, and abilities typically acquired through completion of any of these requirements.
  • Entry-level requiring electro / mechanical aptitude.


Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

  • Required to regularly use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • Frequently required to stand; walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Be able to push, lift, and carry up to 75 lbs. of merchandise and fixtures.
  • While lifting boxes bend, twist, and turn while placing them into their appropriate place.
  • Able to be on their feet for at least 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to use power hand tools weighing up to 35 lbs.
  • Able to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and ramps.
  • Continuously reach out to sort miscellaneous items.
  • Coordinate the movement of the body, arms, and legs while walking down aisles and carrying boxes of supplies.
  • May be subject to overtime as required, weekends, or irregular hours.
  • Ability to work in an environment that is sometimes hot or cold, and subject to occasional load noises and/or hazardous conditions.
