Job Summary

Under minimal supervision, programmatically responsible for the design, development, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of organizational development and capacity building services to healthcare organizations around the country according to grant-funded deliverables, expectations, standards, and measurements that build employee competencies and support a high performance workforce. Supervises a team of staff that design, develop and deliver professional consulting, coaching, and facilitation activities to healthcare organizations on a national basis to improve HIV/STI prevention strategies and LGBTQ cultural awareness. Collaborates and coordinates with other organizational development and capacity building programs. Reports to and collaborates with funding organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), among others.

Essential Functions:
  • 1. Develops implements and monitors program goals and strategies to meet grant deliverables. 2. Partners with other national occupational development organizations to plan and implement the delivery of technical assistance, consultation, organizational development plans, and training to enhance clinical initiatives. 3. Partners with national and federal organizations (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Health Resources and Services Administration) to assess and respond to organizational development needs of healthcare professionals targeted though their HIV/STD prevention initiatives. 4. Supervises team of organizational development consultants and trainers, evaluating performance and developing growth plans. 5. Oversees program performance and budget. 6. Develops regular reports based on program directions, goals and performance. 7. Oversees the design, creation, refinement and development of formal and informal learning solutions to meet organizational needs; analyzes and selects the most appropriate strategy, methodologies and technologies to maximize the learning experience and impact, including face-to-face, online or web-based delivery. 8. Employs instructional design methods and techniques to respond to customer needs. 9. Reviews evaluations from services conducted and provide feedback to consultants, trainers, key collaborators and employs continuous quality improvement strategies. 10. Complies with all copyright laws. 11. Assists with oversight of the learning managements system and the delivery of continuing medical education credits. 12. Reviews partnerships with clients and consultants to identify opportunities and solutions. 13. Reviews assessment tools and analyzes the results of assessments in a manner that assists organizations, clients, and program staff. 14. Identifies and analyzes trends and forces, in order to recommend and implement solutions that have an effect on business results pertaining to individuals, departments and the organization. 15. Gathers, organizes, and analyzes information regarding the impact of learning solutions against key business drivers, presenting the information in a way that is meaningful to the organization. 16. Uses participant and peer/manager feedback to modify the training design to better fit organizational needs. 17. Reports evaluation results to national funders, where appropriate. 18. Builds and maintains relationships with federal, state, local, and community partners. 19. Provides leadership to execute the organization’s strategy; plans, monitors and adjusts learning and development projects or activities. 20. Sustains a positive public image for Public Health and supports the long-range success of the organization. 21. Applies structured approaches to shift teams and organizations from a current state to a desired state. 22. Delivers or oversees the development of informal and formal learning solutions through face-to-face, online or web-based delivery in a manner that both engages the learner and produces the desired outcomes. 23. Coordinates with other subject matter experts to deliver content that manages and responds to learner needs. 24. Assigns duties, reviews work, expedites workflow, and uses progressive disciplinary process for substandard performance. 25. Uses an interactive process to help leaders develop rapidly and produce results; improving leaders’ ability to set goals, take action, make better decisions and make full use of their natural strengths. Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree Education, Public Health, Organizational Development, Behavioral Science, Instructional Design or other related field. Required

Work Experience:
  • 4-6 years Five years of training and organizational development experience to healthcare professionals with an emphasis in consulting-based activities includes peer-to-peer coaching, facilitation and training design, development and delivery. Prior supervisory experience preferred. Required or

Licenses:
  • DLR-Colorado Driver's License Class R - DMV - Department of Motor Vehicles Required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 1. Knowledge and application of project planning, organizational development, and implementation.

  • 2. Ability to lead and supervise a team of organizational development consultants and trainers.

  • 3. Excellent oral and written communications skills.

  • 4. Knowledge of Instructional Design models such as ADDIE model and Kirkpatrick’s evaluation model.

  • 5. Ability to analyze organizational structures, responsibilities and teamwork.
