About the role:
The WATCHMAN Imaging & Upstream Marketing Manager will manage a team that is focused on New Product Development for the WATCHMAN Left Atrial Appendage Closure (LAAC) therapy as well as commercial/technological solutions related to imaging before, during or after the procedure.


This role will manage both upstream and downstream team members as they identify new opportunities or technologies that will enable sustained market leadership in one of the fastest growing therapies within the cardiovascular segment of medical devices.


The person who is successful in this role will thrive in fast paced commercial teams that are focused on innovation and interface frequently with customers, strategic partners, and development teams. Further, this role will require a people manager who helps their team understand the future direction of the LAAC market and how various solutions might shape that market.

Your responsibilities will include:
  • Creation and implementation of global product and clinical strategies designed to support LAAC market growth and WATCHMAN’s competitive advantage within that market
  • Guiding team in appropriate research efforts to gather and synthesize both internal and external VOC
  • Shaping internal direction for development of next generation LAAC devices and supporting technologies via marriage of customer insights, business objectives and financial modeling
  • Oversee WATCHMAN’s customer interactions oriented towards new product development
  • Direct imaging strategy based on knowledge of contemporary and future trends in LAAC imaging
  • Identification of non-product strategies (e.g. clinical studies, digital solutions) to support product pipeline
  • Build relationships with strategic partners and lead related BD activities
  • Identify potential risks to business and creation of strategies to minimize those risks
  • Work in collaboration with Downstream, Continuation, and broader WATCHMAN Marketing teams and develop close partnerships with key functional areas including R&D
  • Thoughtful career development of individuals on team

Required qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Engineering, Science, Healthcare/Biomedical)
  • 5+ years of medical device marketing or development experience
  • Demonstrated experience partnering with R&D teams as well as clinically-focused teams
  • Ability to travel up to 30%

Preferred qualifications:
  • Advanced degree (Masters/MBA) preferred
  • Experience with, or exposure to, LAAC therapy
  • Experience with, or exposure to, medical imaging technologies used in Electrophysiology or Interventional Cardiology labs
  • Ability to discuss or present medical information to both internal and external audiences such as physicians, sales teams and engineering teams
  • Strong collaboration skills with a leadership style prioritizing the team’s success
  • Highly motivated individual with focus on overcoming challenges/obstacles
