PopHealthCare/Emcara Health is seeking a dynamic Manager of Communications who will develop and implement internal and external communication strategies for the organization to ensure that unified, consistent, and positive messages define and promote the corporate identity and vision. Reporting to the Vice President, Marketing and Communications, this role calls for exceptional interpersonal communication skills, the ability to drive work and delegate tasks effectively, and a passion for learning new skills.

General Responsibilities


I. General Responsibilities

  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities to promote and positively represent the organization through internal and external communication
  • Seek new methods and creative strategies to increase internal and external awareness of key events and changes in the organization including the launch of new products, special events, local and global community service, and other topics of interest
  • Oversee Communications workflow and work assignments to ensure effective collaboration among team members and consistent, quality work
  • Enhance internal communications strategy in conjunction with senior leaders.
  • Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders
  • Plan, edit and draft content and/or scripts for a variety of internal and external communications mediums, such as internal news boards, Town Hall meeting presentations, and external press releases
  • Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization
  • Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages
  • Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly


II. Key Skills

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from employees
  • Strong speaking skills and an ability to translate the organizations goals and values to colleagues.
  • Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with various teams across the organization and the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them.
  • The creative ability to devise communication strategies
  • Familiarity with information and digital and video means of communication.
  • Learning and understanding PopHealthCares and Emcara Healths business and the healthcare market will also be crucial.

III. Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in communications, public relations or marketing is preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience within a digital marketing-driven or account-based marketing organization
  • Proven track record of ideating and launching successful internal communications initiatives
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and project manage multiple key business partners, including senior leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including advanced PowerPoint and the ability to present confidently to influence others
  • Intellectual curiosity, including the willingness to dig in and learn more
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities


IV. Working Conditions

  • Travel up to 20% of the work time
  • Role is based in Franklin, TN office with option for virtual work arrangement
