SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Vice President of Marketing, the Advertising Manager is responsible for the planning and implementation of advertising, public relations and community affairs initiatives. This includes management of internal and external print and digital production, social media, web, television, radio and billboard advertising as well as assisting with planning and analysis of overall marketing initiatives.
Responsibilities:
GUEST SERVICE STANDARDS:
  • Treats guests with a sense of caring and individuality while effectively identifying their specific needs
  • Informing supervisor of guest needs which may require special accommodations
  • Showing special recognition of frequent guests
  • Maintaining a safe, clean and comfortable environment for Guests at all times
  • Consistently welcoming guests, thanking them for their patronage, seeking ways to make them comfortable and expressing your desire to have them return
  • Presenting a neat, clean, well-groomed appearance at all times
  • Maintaining constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered at the facility and inform guest
GENERAL DUTIES:
  • Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication
  • Handle Team Member and Guest concerns/dissatisfaction and disputes timely and professionally to the best result in team member/guest satisfaction while at the same time maintaining financial responsibility
  • Promote positive public relations and create an enjoyable atmosphere for all
  • Inspect and ensure a clean, safe working environment. Notify appropriate departments to handle deficient situations
  • Create a work environment that is safe, professional, friendly and conducive to a high level of morale, productivity and performance
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Seminole Gaming’s trade secrets and proprietary information including business processes, customer lists, marketing plans and all other confidential information
  • Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Seminole Tribe of Florida departmental policies and procedures
  • Demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service by discretely notifying appropriate management of concerns and observations
  • Ensure prompt and discrete notification to management and/or the Ethics Hotline (954-585-5103) of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
:

  • Responsible for planning and scheduling all copy, art, lists, cost estimates, invoices and other material through every stage of production
  • Manage all advertising production and execution: radio, television, outdoor, print, digital, internet and social media
  • Responsible for all aspects of property signage: planning, development and execution/installation, and budgetary accountability for same
  • Interface with all department heads to ensure timely development of creative materials for all property programs
  • Work proactively with creative team, agencies vendors to ensure continuous improvement and optimal production solutions for new and existing materials and concepts
  • Maintain a working knowledge of design, printing and digital technologies
  • Manage production schedule and ensure timeliness of projects
  • Manages photo and video shoots for marketing use
  • Evaluate and manage advertising and public relations budgets
  • Obtain bids and initiate purchases in accordance with company policy
  • Work with Purchasing, Receiving and Warehouse on inventory and deliveries, reviewing vendor invoices, and resolving billing discrepancies
  • Maintains files of all completed production jobs
  • Conducts themselves in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida/departmental policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS :

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Must possess proficient mathematical skills to include ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, specific to position responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
:
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from a four-year college or university; preferably with coursework or equivalent experience in either business, marketing, advertising, public relations or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum three years of experience in casino or hospitality industry with experience in marketing, promotions and/or special events is preferred
  • Advanced understanding of internet marketing, SEO and social media is preferred
  • Basic understanding of image manipulation in Photoshop or similar programs (i.e. cropping, resizing, etc.) is preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, PowerPoint with high level of Excel proficiency

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an incumbent to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to second hand smoke, excessive noise, and stress related to servicing customers in a high pressure and fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to stand for an entire shift and be able to continuously maneuver throughout the Casino.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
  • Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Must be able to push, pull and lift 10-30 pounds and ability to bend, reach and stoop on a limited basis.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
:
The working conditions found are those found in environmental factors typical in an indoor, climate controlled office environment. Exposure to casino related environmental factors including, but not limited to crowds, second hand smoke and excessive noise.

EMPLOYMENT PREFERENCE:
The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe who meet the job requirements. Second preference is given to other members of federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.
