We are working with a leading manufacturer based near Swedesboro, NJ, who are looking to recruit a Utilities Maintenance Technician to join their Engineering team. You will be working 3rd shift in return of a salary in the region of $31-$35 per hour dependant on experience and skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Carry out preventative maintenance on equipment/machinery and use drawings and diagrams for PM’s regarding machine overhauls and repairs to ensure minimum downtime
• Maintenance of utility equipment including Ammonia refrigeration systems & units, heating and air conditioning equipment, boiler systems, compressed air systems, electrical distribution equipment & building sprinkler systems
• Lead emergency response team in the event of the release of hazardous chemicals.
• Develop environmental programs
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics and plumbing.
• Ensure correct use of boilers
• Co-ordinate labour and contractors for onsite facility maintenance

Skills/Experience:

• Must have experience of working with ammonia
• Understanding of equipment setup, functions, operating procedures & preventative maintenance techniques.
• Knowledge of industrial utility systems
• Knowledge of FDA Regulations
• Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Sanitation Processes/Procedures
• Knowledge of HACCP
• Good knowledge of energy management practices
• Knowledge of state & federal regulatory requirements as related to plant and utilities systems’ operations, safety and environmental agencies.
• Able to disassemble and reassemble equipment
