Responsibilities:
- Learn the manufacturing process
- Learn and understand finished product specifications
- Complete preventative maintenance checks as required
- Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment
- All employees are expected to follow the company's safety policy and procedures.
- Additional responsibilities or tasks may be assigned at the discretion of the supervisor
- Support and promote safe practices and environmental commitments in alignment with company commitments, policies, and compliance requirements
- Must possess basic computer skills to process work orders and associated maintenance documentation
- Able to troubleshoot and repair electromechanical systems, electrical motors, electrical motor controls, pumps, combustion systems, compressed air systems, basic plumbing, piping, boilers, seals, gaskets, gear boxes, sprockets/chains, belts, clutches, bearings, brakes, power transmissions
- Able to work independently as well as in a team environment on assigned projects/tasks and report to supervisor the status of each as needed
- Must be able to work shift schedules plus overtime as dictated by the needs of the business, including weekends and holidays
- Able to demonstrate practical problem-solving skills
- Able to collaborate with team members
- Able to identify and record department KPI data
- Able to learn and apply the principles of the company's Manufacturing Standards, including lean tools, concept of continuous improvement, Reliability, process capability and operational discipline.
- Industrial mechanical skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
- Work safely and immediately report any unsafe conditions
- Basic Computer a plus
- Problem Solving
- Use of small hand tools
- Self-motivation for skill growth
- Relationships
- Communicate well with co-workers
- PLC/Controls a plus
