Maintenance Technician

Maintenance Technician will be responsible, under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, for the overall day-to-day maintenance operations of the community of properties. Such operations include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities

· Repairing and treating structures such as showers, sinks, appliances, doors/ cabinets, walls and building exteriors

· Provide make ready units for new move-ins

· Schedule and complete preventative maintenance program

· Assist in the troubleshoot/repair of mechanical, carpentry and electrical problems

- Assist in cleaning of available apartments and/or models when needed

- Deliver communication documentations to residents

- Ensure that unsafe conditions are corrected in a timely manner

- Assist maintenance team with snow removal (if applicable)

- Uphold and represent the community in a professional manner at all times on/off the property

- Other duties assigned by supervisor

- Be capable of conducting general contracting repairs to include:

  • Drywall installation and patching
  • Changing locks
  • Painting
  • General service plumbing, masonry, and electrical

Skills and Requirements

Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors and fellow employees. Maintenance Tech must have the ability to effectively complete tasks outlined above. One must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

  • Maintenance: 3 years (Required)

  • English , Spanish (Preferred)
