Maxus Properties is seeking to hire a full-time Maintenance Technician for Madison at Melrose Apartments in Richardson, Texas. Maxus Maintenance Technicians are responsible for the overall maintenance of our communities.

DESCRIPTION: Responsibilities of the Maintenance Technician include:

• Track and complete service requests on occupied and vacant apartments, office/clubhouse, and amenities.
• Perform timely repairs including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, lighting, etc.
• Prepare apartments for tour/next residents move in by conducting lock changes, move-out inspections, trash out, punch out, scheduling vendors where necessary.
• Assist with property inspections including semi-annual, fire safety, pest control, etc.
• Assist with controlling and reporting stock and inventory.
• Safely use and perform periodic maintenance of tools and equipment (hammer, drill, saw, gauges, etc).
• Complete any additional projects as requested under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• This position requires being on call every third weekend.

QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent is required; current driver's license is required; property maintenance experience is required; HVAC certification is required or must be willing to obtain certification; familiarity with Fair Housing and commitment to abiding by all Fair Housing regulations is required.
