Maintenance Supervisor


Full-Time / 40 Hrs / Week


Starting Pay: $23.55 / Hour

Job Description


Supervisory position with parking management company in downtown Richmond, Virginia. Seeking an individual with previous experience in the management of facility maintenance. Must be able to troubleshoot issues and respond with proactive solutions. Must be able to work independently, follow task assignments, and use sound judgement. Must be able to organize and supervise others with tasks. Must be able to work with vendors, obtain pricing for repairs and preventative maintenance, and communicate effectively with leadership. Must be able to organize supplies and ensure that resources are available. On-boarding and training assistants will be required. While this a Mon-Fri position, there may be times that require after hours or weekend work.


Responsibilities

  • Maintain a clean appearance in the parking facility.
  • Utilize checklists as directed to ensure that all surfaces such as signs, doors, walls, curbs, islands, etc. are properly maintained and appear neat and clean.
  • Possess knowledge of the operation of gas or electric powered equipment (such as sweepers or scrubbers).
  • Report any observed or suspected violations of company policy, safety hazards or any unusual occurrence to the facility manager in a timely manner.
  • Implement any training programs required by Management.
  • Insure that properties have been inspected properly and issues reported with plan to remedy.
  • Participate in snow and ice removal. Be available as soon as possible during inclement weather scenarios.
  • Assist customers as directed by Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to communicate clearly with co-workers and customers and write clearly and informatively.
  • Positive attitude at all times, especially when reposnding to requests for service and assistance.
  • Must be able to adapt to changes, delays, and unexpected events.
  • Exhibits sound and accurate judgement.
  • Must be able to meet physical demands of job including working for long stretches of standing and/or walking; able to lift 50 pounds; and perform tasks, such as shoveling snow.
  • High School Diploma or a combination of experience and education required.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
  • Must have access to a personal vehicle and acceptable DMV record.
