Position Summary – Maintenance Planner

The Maintenance Planner will provide maintenance planning leadership for the site. Position will develop and manage a program to plan and coordinate corrective and preventive maintenance activities by department and priority level. Work with engineering, procurement, storeroom, and operations to ensure items required for planned activities are coordinated for proper scheduling and maximum efficiency. Will lead all outage planning and coordination efforts for kiln, quarry, and electrical outages.

Requirements

• Strong planning, problem solving, troubleshooting, communication, project management, and leadership skills

· Promote a positive work environment for growth and sustainability

· Lead and manage, through collaboration, with all co-workers in their area the RCA/Corrective action program for equipment issues.

· Use the RCA/Correction action program for continual improvement

· Develop and implement procedures/ best practices to improve efficiencies

· Participate, use, and support the maintenance work order system for continued growth and development

· Assist in the development of equipment inspection/repair procedures by operations and maintenance to ensure they are systematically connected for future work/repairs.

· Participate, use, and support the maintenance work order system for continued growth and development

· Work with the maintenance leadership on coordination of planned work and support unplanned work as necessary

· Responsible for planning and scheduling to promote department efficiency.

· Cost effective use of contractors, spares, and materials.

• Ability to work with all levels of management
• Ability to work some off shifts and weekends
• Supervision in a union environment is desirable

· Other duties as required by the needs of the plant

Minimum Education and Experience

· Minimum of 3 years in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

· Related college degree preferred or equivalent experience in maintenance or procurement.

· Mechanical Aptitude and Process Equipment maintenance experience preferred.

· Microsoft/ERP proficient

· Advanced computer skills for reporting, information transfer, and analysis are preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,187.99 - $99,626.74 per year
