Job Summary

Boart Longyear is hiring a new Maintenance Planner to be based out of Elko, Nevada. The Maintenance Planner will be responsible for assisting the on-site shop team proactively & reactively with material support. This person will mainly purchase and source items in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position will interact extensively with internal customers, providing them with consistent communication. This position will also run point in supplier interactions in setup of new vendors, negotiation and expediting orders as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of proven working experience as a Planner / Buyer
Good understanding of Supply Chain process and supply ordering techniques
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work with different personalities and follow direct orders
Proficient in spreadsheet software
Equipment maintenance background preferred
Strong organizational skills
Oracle software experience preferred

Position Responsibilities:

Purchase maintenance parts for the shop and field
Reduce item cost through sourcing activities
Direct all processes and procedures for rig down situations
Communicate clearly with internal customers to set expectations and understand customer requirements
Proactively prevent and resolve issues related to spare parts availability
Other duties as required
