Job Details:
This position starts at $23.10/hr. with a shift increase for second and third shift and potential for overtime. We have open positions for first shift. Referral bonus paid out to new hire and referring TM in amount of $500.00 paid at 90 days and $500.00 paid at 180 days .
POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product thru the production process and insuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Responsible for preventative maintenance and assisting maintenance personnel in repair of KP machines, while also adhering to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for setting KP machine, clamping, gather, code dating, diameter and registration.
  • Sending chub to chiller as well as checking weights, registration, and roll codes.
  • Set up/tear down of KP machines for production.
  • Changing film up to 60 lbs as needed.
  • Responsible for strip outs and defective chubs.
  • Responsible for draining water from bottom of KPs.
  • Responsible for minor machine repairs when problems arrive, if possible.
  • Informing qualified maintenance person in identifying problem with machine.
  • Responsible on weekends for greasing all machines, oil all rollers, greasing motor pumps, adding oil to gear boxes, adding oil to all air oilers and assisting maintenance with major repairs in KP department.
  • Must follow all SSOP and HACCP guidelines.
  • Must be willing and able to work cycles in less than 30 seconds.
  • Must be willing and able to work on and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Perform various other tasks as assigned by Leadperson, Supervisor or Superintendent.
  • Management will appoint a trained designee to fill in for absentees and vacancies.
  • ALL employees are responsible for upholding principles of SQF 2000.
  • Familiar with the safe operation of production line conveyor equipment.
  • Must be willing and able to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management.
  • Must be willing to pinch/grip product and place into specified location.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Basic Math Skills and ability to become certified in Lock Out tag Out Program.
  • Must be willing and able to work in temperatures less than or equal to 35 degrees Fahrenheit temperature for minimum of 8 hours.
  • Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Must be willing and able to perform the following task for periods of 8 hours on concrete floor, some of which may include but is not limited to bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting.
  • Must have a minimum of 6 months cumulative industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training.
  • Must have 3 months previous work experience with a single employer within the past 18 months. Must have a minimum of 6 months manufacturing, maintenance or mechanical experience or equivalent training.
