Duties and responsibilities:

• Mechanic
• Responsible for a wide variety of general groundskeeping maintenance systems including lawn care, facility maintenance, snow removal, road repair, and wastewater control.
• Maintain vehicles and equipment.
• Observing work-site safety and following OSHA standards.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Willing to work a variety of shifts and occasionally On-Call hours.

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications include:

• Specialized vocational training.
• Minimum of five years in a role of similar capacity. With at least three years of experience with industrial equipment, residential or commercial construction, automotive maintenance, or welding.
• Class A or B CDL
• Heavy equipment operations

Minimum Qualifications:

• Ability to troubleshoot problems on a variety of equipment.
• Proficient with a multitude of hand and power tools
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and specialized vocational training.
• Ability to accurately read, write and communicate clearly and effectively.
• Ability to operate computer programs, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Valid driver’s license
• Detail oriented
• Must have initiative and ability to work independently or as a team member.
• Ability to respond to emergency situations in a competent manner.
• Spirit of continuous improvement, having the ability to suggest improvements and actively seek opportunities for innovation.
• Employment is contingent on the ability to pass initial and random drug screenings.

Working conditions

This job involves being mostly outdoors, around machinery and heavy equipment. Safety equipment is regularly required.

Physical requirements

• Ability to sit and stand for long periods of time in an office environment or warehouse environment.
• Ability to perform physical labor such as bending, lifting, stooping, climbing ladders, etc.
• Must be able to work at heights.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Must be able to work outdoors in hot or cold weather as needed.

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
