We are currently looking for a qualified Maintenance Manager for our Rosedale, MS location. We are a lubricant manufacturer with plants in Rosedale, MS, Schertz, TX and Tulsa, OK. JOB SUMMARY:

The maintenance manager is responsible for ensuring proper operation of and maintenance for production machinery and facilities, while operating within budget and increasing throughput through the reduction of downtime and implementation of efficient process changes. This position requires a hands-on approach in maintaining and repairing equipment and management of all maintenance related activities.

Some ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Be aware of and ensure that all OSHA and AXEL safety standards are followed
  • Be familiar with and support the effort of implementing the quality policy and ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949 Quality Management Systems, if applicable
  • Performs advanced level functions in the maintenance and repair of manufacturing facility
  • Carry out inspections of facilities to identify and resolve issues
  • Develop maintenance procedures and ensure implementation
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities
  • Manage maintenance projects, processes and personnel
  • Recruit, supervise and train maintenance technicians
  • Monitor inventory of materials and equipment
  • Prepare weekly maintenance schedules and allocate work
  • Interact with Facilities Manager to understand and develop consistency of operations across all facilities and engage in remote support opportunities
  • Develop, implement and maintain a robust Preventative and Predictive Maintenance (P&PM) schedule, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), and Computerized Maintenance Management Information System (CMMIS)
  • Ensure budget realization by operating within maintenance allocation, control downtime through scheduling and inventory management, and facilitate lead manufacturing activities and initiatives by identifying and implementing process improvements

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

Provides direct supervision to two (2) to five (5) maintenance technicians. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include assisting with recruitment efforts, interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; issuing rewards and performance correction; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Must be able to read, write and understand the English language
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to operate within P&ID and CMMIS software
  • Strong work ethic with demonstration of strong organizational skills, proactive approach, and proven problem-solving ability
  • Ability to read and understand mechanical, electrical drawings, flow charts and/or other drawings of a technical nature
  • Proven track record of interpersonal and leadership skills with ability to lead effectively and efficiently in a team environment. Must be able to set clear goals and expectations and drive accountability within immediate team
  • Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical and mechanical systems
  • Advanced knowledge of manufacturing equipment maintenance (industrial maintenance, welding, trouble shooting, electrical/PLC and pumps)
  • Working knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)/Automation, Industrial Hydraulics, Plant maintenance and Systems Troubleshooting preferred

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Degree from a vocational school or BSc/BA in business administration or facility management will be an advantage
  • Professional Certifications will be a plus
  • 3-5 years of proven maintenance management/leadership experience required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Must be capable of distinguishing change in pitch on pumps and motors.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, including equipment such as hoses, fittings, sampling devices, tank covers, lids, or other equipment as required by other assignments.
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces.
  • Requires close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be available to support plant hours of operation and be on call as required.
  • Little to no travel required

Pay range is $85,000-$90,000 depending on experience plus great benefits!
