Title: Maintenance Electrician
Start Pay: $30/hr
Shift: 1st Shift: Mon – Fri, 7A – 4P ; 2nd Shift: Mon – Fri, 4P – 12A

SUMMARY OF FUNCTIONS:
Dura-Line LLC is looking for a Maintenance Electrician who can assist in all of our production departments; primarily the Extrusion department, in repairing and maintaining all equipment necessary. Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment. Perform preventive maintenance activities as prescribed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Able to work with changing priorities based upon customer satisfaction or needs
Ability to comprehend NFPA codes
Read and adhere to Standard Work
Follows all safety requirements for the facility and company
Report potentially unsafe or otherwise concerning conditions.
Attention to detail, problem solving and good analytical skills
Demonstrates organizational skills
Preventative Maintenance
EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
3-5 years of recent PLC/VFD/AC-DC controls work in the last 10 years
2 year Technical degree/electrical certification (can also be achieved via military service)
Experience with PLC programming, control devices, electrical wiring, and variable speed drives
3-5 years of hands-on experience in mechanical & electrical maintenance
Able to use most hand and power tools required for this position: wrenches, torches, electrical test equipment, drill, cutting tools
Good knowledge of state and local safety codes
Able to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues
Knowledge of 120/240 single phase and 480v three phase electrical
OCCUPATIONAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to successfully complete the company’s lift truck training program
Ability to lift 50 lbs with or without reasonable assistance.
Ability to climb ladders, silos, railcars, roofs at varying heights.
Effective written and verbal communication
Must be able to understand and retain safety subject training.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Manufacturing environment
Electrical, water and chemical hazards present in the working environment.
Work includes exposure to hot equipment with moving components and spending up to 12 hours a shift on your feet.
Moving from one area to another may require stepping over and/or bending under objects.
