Position Summary:

Hillwood Airways is looking to hire a Maintenance Controller to provide technical oversight, coordinate repairs of aircrafts and maintaining scheduled operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and plan maintenance activities and provide technical support on their assigned shift
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with current FARs, the Hillwood Airways General Maintenance Manual, or other Technical Data Acceptable to the Administrator
  • Provide Technical Assistance to all Maintenance Activities
  • Administer and monitor all MELs, CDLs, and DMIs to ensure Time Limits are not exceeded
  • Monitor, update, and verify aircraft status; report aircraft status changes as they occur to Flight Following
  • Responsible for coordinating with planning of all airframe, engine maintenance/inspections, airworthiness directives, service bulletins, and mandatory replacement items at outstations and at the Hillwood Hangar
  • Prioritizing requiring maintenance items and downgrading of maintenance items to maintain the aircraft in an Airworthy condition
  • Determine the suitability of aircraft for those aircraft authorized for ETOPS operations
  • Perform all shift duties including paperwork and turnover
  • Required to report all safety concerns in a timely manner. Ensure that they and their co-workers are performing their functions in the safest possible manner in accordance with the Hillwood Airways Safety Management System
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Airframe and Powerplant License is required
  • Boeing 737 experience
  • 1 year of Maintenance Control experience
  • Highly Flexible
  • Analytical and evaluation skills
  • Accurate judgement and decisiveness
  • Articulate communication
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Able to read and understand wiring schematics, Structure Repair Manual, applicable aircraft maintenance manual, and Federal Aviation Regulations, Advisory Circulars, and Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to interface effectively with senior company leadership, Engineering, Maintenance, Purchasing, Flight Operations Management, Flight crews, Inflight and Flight Follower-Dispatchers effectively.
