Maintenance/Construction Technician III/ Pender County - Temporary Solutions

This is a temporary position and there are no leave or retirement benefits offered with this position. This temporary position is located in Burgaw - Pender County.

Job Order Hourly Rate of Pay: $ 27.64 (Based on education and/or years of relevant work experience reflected on the application).

This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Adult Corrections. This position is located at 906 Penderlea Hwy. Burgaw NC 28425

This position will perform skilled work in the maintenance, repair and construction of building and facilities. etc.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies

Skill in the use of tools required in various technically complex trades.

  • Ability to understand and work from sketches or penciled drawings.
  • Ability to operate the more common types of machine shop or woodworking power equipment.
  • Ability to guide the work of skilled workers.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two (2) years of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Necessary Special Qualification May require current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F
