Our organization is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses to provide care and assistance to patients at our skilled long term-care facility. A successful candidate will demonstrate strong clinical knowledge, problem-solving skills and an interest in providing patient-centered, holistic care. Beyond providing personal care, the LPN must also be able to educate patients, facilitate communication between patients and families, administer medications and conduct regular nursing assessments.

Responsibilities:

• Administer medications as ordered by a physician or dentist.
• Prepare patients for examination or surgery and assist doctors during procedures.
• Follow special care plans prescribed by physicians and surgeons.
• Teach patients how to care for themselves following treatment.
• Keep accurate records of medicines given and taken by patient.
• Respond to patients' needs for assistance in activities of daily living.
• Deal with resistant patients, i.e. pressure ulcers, incontinence, seizures.).
