Transdev is actively seeking a transportation lot supervisor for their fixed route service in the Denver Metro area. We are looking for one qualified lot supervisor to help build a strong team who can respond efficiently to emergencies, incidents and customer feedback.

Responsibilities:
  • Working most of the time outdoors
  • Start buses 15 minutes prior to pullout and turn on heat, defrosters, and check there is no leaks
  • Assist drivers to find their bus.
  • Assist drivers with maintenance problems.
  • Trade out buses as and when required for maintenance and other problems, document and communicate with Dispatch the change.
  • Communicate with maintenance foreman and lot maintenance personnel regarding mechanical issues.
  • Communicate with dispatch, regarding operators that have not checked in to the lot on time.
  • Oversee extra boards to pre-trip buses to cut down on pullout delays.
  • Document all pullout times, reason for late, and malfunctioning items.
  • Communicates job requirements and responsibilities to drivers

  • Observes drivers on the lot to ensure they conduct a proper pre-trip and gives direction to

  • Operators with safety concerns to ensure of on time pull outs

  • Checks vehicles to ensure all equipment is functional (cameras, fare box, etc.)
  • Assists with miscellaneous clerical tasks as needed
  • Assigns vehicles to Operators and updates Windows Dispatchers

  • Collect and file white copies from the DVI book
  • Work extended hours regularly, including Saturday & Sunday

  • Demonstrate regular and consistent attendance and punctuality
  • Use of full ranges of hearing, speech and vision

  • Use of fingers (manual dexterity) handling paperwork

  • Stoop, crouch, squat or kneel when performing inspections of any type

  • Bend at knee, hip, waist when performing duties

  • Stand while performing inspections
  • Be subject to wet, cold or hot environmental conditions

  • Write reports in a coherent, legible way

  • Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 19 years old with a High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • 2 or more years of relevant leadership experience .
  • Excellent comminication skills and the ability to read maps and interpret transit operating rules and policies.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination, drug test , and background check.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT PHYSICAL

  • Must undergo a pre-employment drug test and physical by a company appointed physician/facility and receive clearance

PHYSICAL DEMAND

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to manipulate, handle or feel; reach with hands or arms; and talk or hear
  • Frequently requited to sit
  • Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and smell
  • Must be able to work outdoors in extreme noise and weather
  • Must have computer knowledge for reports and communication.
