The Lower Savannah Council of Governments, a regional planning and development agency located in Aiken, SC, is seeking qualified applicants for the Aging, Disabilities, Transportation Resource Center (ADTRC) Long Term Care (LTC) Ombudsman Program. The LTC Ombudsman is responsible for assisting the Regional LTC Ombudsman in the performance of the daily functions of the LTC Ombudsman and Elderly Legal Services Program. Duties include processing intakes, making referrals, resolving complaints, conducting public educational activities, working with senior resident and family councils, and promoting the needs of vulnerable adults throughout a six county (Aiken, Allendale, Bamberg, Barnwell, Calhoun, Orangeburg) region.

Candidate must possess skills to interact and work with vulnerable senior adults, be detail oriented, have excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office software. The position requires frequent visits to licensed long term care facilities within the region. Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science such as Sociology or Psychology and three years’ work experience preferred. For more information visit www.lscog.org.
