Technical Solutions, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is currently seeking a Logistics Support candidate that has a configuration management background/knowledge gained normally from military experience with knowledge of the ship’s Organizational Maintenance Management System (OMMS) database. The selected candidate will be working with technical manuals and engineering drawings, to perform logistic technical evaluation of equipment and materials presented in these drawings and manuals in support of OMMS database. This position will be located in Oxnard, CA.
Essential Job Responsibilities
Provides support to the Configuration Management Division of the Naval Surface Warfare Center, providing logistic functions preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked. Determines maintenance and repair materials required for deployment. Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components. Develops requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals; tracks logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities; reviews configuration changes to evaluate impact on logistics deployment; documents equipment, component and parts conditions; and identifies logistic support documentation to be included such as drawings, technical manuals, and maintenance requirement cards to support life-cycle of product.
Specifically, this job will require you to:
- Support Configuration Management of the Gun Weapon Systems for various classes of naval ships.
- Attend and or convene meetings to track the completion of program requirements.
- Track multiple Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) certification processes.
- Track Engineer Change Request through multiple stages.
Minimum Qualifications
3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
Knowledge of Navy Hull, Mechanical and Electric (HM&E) systems.
Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and the Navy preventive maintenance system.
In-depth knowledge of Technical Manuals and Engineering Drawings, being capable to perform logistic technical evaluation of equipment and material presented in these drawings and Tech Manuals.
Be capable of providing shipboard confirguration management and logistical technical support.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
Preferred Requirements
Previous configuration management experience
Knowledge of the DDGs or CGs Class of Ships.
Active Secret clearance
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, and transport heavy equipment.
