Job Description
Reviews field support requirements and recommends tool and test equipment. Establishes calibration requirements for field systems/equipment including all maintenance tasks. Performs maintenance and maintainability demonstrations for customers. Reviews handbooks for technical adequacy. Assists in the development of maintenance engineering and logistics support. Plans and contributes to proposal efforts.
Responsibilities include: Shipboard validation of HM&E and GFE equipment. Review and analyze equipment configuration requirements. Research systems/equipment data to ensure correct requirements are loaded in the ships configuration database. Advanced understanding of Configuration Status Accounting (CSA) requirement with a general understanding of ILS Functional Groups: COSAL Outfitting; Life Cycle Engineering and Provisioning
Basic Qualifications
- 2 Years with Bachelor's Degree in related field; 0 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree (Combination of education and experience in lieu of degree)
- Common Access Card (CAC) is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidate should have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, have experience with CDMD-OA and handheld devices for electronic validation effort. Knowledge of shipboard compartment arrangements for all ship classes built at Ingalls is a must. Be able to assess shipboard readiness for start of validation effort. Common Access Card (CAC) is required.
