Logistics Coordinator Job at Abacus Solutions Group, LLC
Responsibilities:
· Working from dashboard or other task tracking mechanism to handle all daily ocean import shipments from pre-alert until invoicing in a customer facing role
· Providing advice to clients regarding logistic processes, documentation, inspections, letters of credit, or any other shipping questions which may arise.
· Arranging pick up of cargo, clearance of demurrage and/or other charges due at destination.
· Assisting/ forwarding all necessary information and documentation to Customs Broker in order to clear shipments in accordance with U.S. government regulations.
· Coordinate with the GCC the preparation and processing Delivery Orders and Arrival Notices
· Preparing and/or processing sending advance notifications of shipments or other documents to brokers, agents or consignees as required.
· Coordinating with the GCC for the movement of shipments between origin and destination.
· Tracking shipments and sending regular status reports to clients.
· Data input/ logging files.
· Communicating with all external and internal partners as well as customers to ensure smooth transport arrangement
· Operating according to our client’s Standard Operation Procedures.
· Support General Manager with General Office duties.
· Supports Customer Service in the incident and exception management resolution
· Maintains excellent relationships with suppliers
· Is responsible for identifying performance issues of suppliers, and proposes solutions to improve/correct performance
· Performs IT systems related tasks to provide up to date information on shipment
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
