United Health Services is seeking a Loan Officer Credit Union to join our Credit Union team in Johnson City, NY. This is a BENEFITS-ELIGIBLE position.

Loan Officer Credit Union Overview
Reporting to the Senior Loan Officer, the Loan Officer is the primary underwriter of all Credit Union loans and also responsible for most loan interviews and most of the direct Member service and counseling within the lending department.
Loan Officer Credit Union Key Responsibilities and Expectations
Essential Functions:
Essential functions are those tasks, duties and responsibilities that are performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
Gathers background information on loan applicants by interviewing applicants when appropriate and reviewing credit reports.
Assists Members with the loan application process as necessary to ensure completeness of information.
Underwrites all loans pursuant to Credit Union policy and procedure; seeks management assistance when additional lending authority is required.
Approves loan applications, or recommends denial of loan applications to Senior Loan Officer.
When a loan is denied, explains reasons for denial in a professional and courteous manner and sends adverse action. Works with Member to provide recommendations and guidance towards being able to secure a loan in the future.

Position Qualifications
Minimum:
High School graduate and three years related experience in a high-paced lending environment.
Preferred:
Must be a Mortgage Loan Originator with a registered NMLS # within 30 days of hire.
